Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

It’s the F-15I+ program to upgrade the Ra’am, in tandem with the F-15IA. It’s an attempt not just to mount a radar, but to bring them all to the IA standard. A similar thing was done for Saudi Arabia with their F-15S being upgraded to their F-15SA being dubbed F-15S+

Personally I am more interested in the GBT 155 and was kinda hoping for the Abbot over AS 90 lol.

Abbot would be a relatively unique SPG in that it would be able to throw HESH at people, but would likely require gaijin to do more tweaking to helping HESH actually you know… not be bad.

though it will ofc join my artillery lineup.

AVRE, GBT 155, G6, M109, AS-90 and ofc, strikemaster for fun too.

Can’t make any reports until dev is live so I’m doing the best I can here for now.

Just trying to spread awareness of what it is supposed to be more than anything right now until we reach that point where it’s possible to report stuff.

Depends on if it gets DL even when active and becomes a bugger to notch

But C5s can still be buffed

The issue with AMRAAM imo, is that they are too easy to defeat both kinematically and via notching

Played a game in the AVRE today, hit the turret of a M4/T26, only breached. Hit the cheek of an IS-2, oranged 2 crew. HESH just doesn’t over pressure sometimes and it makes absolutely zero sense, especially considering the AVRE’s shell is the equivalent of a 50lb bomb smacking your turret at about 250 m/s. I don’t know if there is some physics lesson I missed, or if it was Gaijin that missed it.

Do your really think they will? How long has the Mavs been under preforming?

Yeah…

What’s wrong with Mavericks?

They are shorted on range and heavily. So unless something has changed which I haven’t read anything on the change logs about them they are under preforming.

Drag’s too high?

I think it’s time for Gaijin to do a limited time mode for ground only, and see how it performs. You know, similar sort of to the gun only game mode for air?

For the lighter models, it should be something like 23km when fired from 500ft or something, its more like 18ish km at the moment iirc

But like PGMs, its not soviet, so its not a priority to be fixed

Isn’t their loft profile, like with every other missile except the LMUR (evil to him who evil thinks), also very wrong? Currently they fly a nearly direct approach with an extremely low impact angle instead of a loft course with a high impact angle.

They don’t compare to other fnf ordnance. Many different reasons for it but imo the biggest drawback is speed, the Kh-38 reaches mach 2.2, the reaction time required to intercept mav vs kh38 is vastly different. Additionaly the mavs suffer from gajobs treatment of HEAT warheads.

I think the context is what is wrong with Mavericks compared to IRL, not other AGMs

Them being worthless at top tier is a seperate issue

Agm-65 is 80s technology. New cas == same old fraud. It’s a joke that no matter if you are flying an early AGM-65B carrier or a Superhornet you utilise the same tactics in war thunder. Gaijin can’t replicate the actual CAS environment without introducing SAR radar, decoys, jammers, multiple SPI/DPI, ARMs, MMW guidance etc…

Well, I hope the dev update/release is early on Monday, as I’ve got to be at the hospital for the evening :/

EDIT: Nevermind, my appointment is much earlier than I thought, so yay!

But Anton Yudintsev is Russian, not Hungarian… are you sure the subtitles aren’t just a mis-translation?

No, please no… we don’t want to copy-paste slopify the Me 210… it can’t even be unique for a single update? On top of it being so similar to the Me 410 we need to put it into 4 tech trees for both sides of the war?

It’s already not unique lol? It’s going to Hungary and Japan as well as Germany.

And I wanna see RAF marking axis aircraft
