R-Class then? Given Britain basically got no naval additions this major update?
A battleship is not just whipped up like that im afriad. There are no current plans for an R Class this major.

And surely when they planned a year ago to add only a nothingburger coastal boat, despite asks for over a year for R-Class, it could have been planned ahead

No, Arkhangelsk is in game. Which was previously HMS Royal Sovereign, meaning that spesific ship cant come.
Other ships of the class are not direct clones. They each have differences, however large or small. Not to mention textures and skins.

Which apparently takes 1+ year to model.

Might I ask, why was Rang 9 even added that early and not with the Major Update?
It was intended for them to he kept seperate from the major as announced in the news a month ago.
