Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Spyder AIO should be 12.0 lmao

Derby is terrible, we should get ER on the plane, on all TOP BR ISR planes, I’m already tired of the ubiquitous AIM-120

then what should we get as a top tier sam?

Add more SAM

''the Barak MX or the Buk M1-2 from Cyprus

That’s a point.

@Smin1080p_WT Due to the ongoing of interesting times since last week has there been any more changes to the idea of Cyprus going to Israel or is it business as usual as per the original plan ?

Block 5 or Block 10 ?

AGM-84H

  • USMC F/A-18C/D (late 90’s - early 2000’s config)
  • F/A-18E/F Block I (USN)

AGM-84K

  • F/A-18E/F Block II & Block III (USN)
  • F-15K Slam Eagle

I really hope that isn’t what was being talked about on the dev stream. Like, I don’t have an issue with it coming but…

They made it sound like a low-tier addition was coming, so I was so looking forward to that. Well, that’s what happens when you get your hopes up.

the SLAM-ER will probably come to the aussie super hornet as well, which is a shame since I havent researched any of the hornets yet lmao

Idk what your talking about I love it in close range

It would definitely be added to Aussie super hornet since Australia did buy it

Both AIM-120D-1 and D-3 models have the same max range, just the D-1 theoretically takes a lower loft/manages energy slightly worse than the D-3 would. Nothing changes really, just the brains operating differently.

For early match BVR, I’d say that instead of 10 km launches, you’d do 11-12 km launches instead and at high speed (Mach 1.3+) to actually hit something 50+ km away. A lot more dangerous, given the lack of flight control authority at that altitude and so notching/defending becomes a tad more difficult meanwhile incoming missiles have the least resistance possible to intercept.

Allegedly D-3 has a better motor which is why I ask although I haven’t found a primary source stating D-3 having the better motor.

The propulsion unit was simply stretched as the electronics were shrunken down. The missile itself still maintains (has to, really) 7 inch diameter so as to still fit in F-22/F-35.

(This should also be modelled as a slightly longer burn time of ~10 seconds)

EDIT: @Macron-Spokesman Submitted a bug report here about it, but the only contestable thing in it is deciding whether or not the 9 kg of dead weight is actually extra fuel or… actually, that’s the only thing it can be. Nothing else changes weight wise for the missile that’s almost identical to the C-5 that would justify such a substantial weight increase.

… how does something like that get put on the dev server.

Like how is that even a mistake that gets made?

It’l be 90 bucks though… you still want it?

Screw it we ball if it has SLAM and the scheme lmao
