it is. afaik its not really a proxy fuse. the vehicle radar just tells it to explode at some point

There are two major accepted reports for the aim-120 that have bee open for over a year and nothing has been done with them. one would likely reduce drag co as it is for the range vs maneuvering targets, and the second is to reduce the seeker FOV to 6 degrees. at this point it is laughable to tell us to bug report the missile as nothing has come of them in over a year. ik you have no say in what the devs do but damn it is frustrating to see the missile in the state it is in with said reports.

Im directing those asking to the proper place and means to report something, as tagging me here isnt a means of issue reporting.
Sadly nothing can be done from this topic.
It is frustrating that we now have a third generation of the AMRAAM, and the first still has reports outstanding from the Fox-3 Beta test I believe (if not, certainly early into their introduction)

There’s really no point in talking about AIM-120’s since these dudes are never gonna make this missile good. We could’ve gotten the F-15EX this update but they decided to add a DOA F-16C instead.
Only 2 things can save the US top tier right now, either they add the EX with 16 AIM-120’s or we wait till 5th gen comes (F-22 will still be worse than SU-30SM/2, Rafale btw) and then actually play the tree.
