Thing is, I really am a fan of raw meta effectiveness. I know some people can have fun with non-meta, but… I’m a meta slut xD
Hence I can only look forward to two sorts of vehicles in Top Tier: either peak performance MBTs, or peak performance glass canons at best. So far, all Italy has got going for me is 2A7HU, so… if Centauro 2 at least turned out to be some sort of Type 10 on steroids, then it could be more interesting for me!
I already have all other nations in the game, only Italy left. For me to bother to grind it, I would need Italy to have something TRULY unique, special… AND effective!
I personally highly doubt that Gaijin will make the Centauro II sth special tho. It will probably just play and behave like the Centauro B1 120 that is ingame already just with quite a bit of spall liners and other extra mechanics.
Don’t get me wrong it will likely be my most hyped vehicle of the patch after Hungary air but I wouldn’t put it past Gaijin to gimp it.
Yeah, I agree on this. I already use Centauro I 120 in my top tier line up with a preference over Ariete AMV, especially after the addition of scouting for drones.
Could also give it Shard, unless they add some other B2 variant later (we are getting Pre-production afaik).
It really feels like a filler update, but not necessarily in a bad way of course.
The update doesn’t have a sort of hype/flagship vehicle (and no, the F-16C Block 52 won’t ever be that level no matter how much Gaijin seems to want it to be and no matter how hard they try), but if we go through the list of confirmed vehicles so far there are at least 4-8 vehicles that I’m personally pretty excited for.
By pure stats, out of all rank 8 SPAA, it is 18th out of 22 SPAAs in total, based on earnings, so I would say it is indeed in the worse catherogy.
If we were to take stuff like smaple size, the result might be different, but sadly as Russia is one of the most, if not the most popular TT, its stats are dragged down.
would be an interresting statistic to see how much CAS is spawed on russia opposing teams. I wonder if its a significant enough factor on top of the free Pantsir.
I personally wouldn’t take those stats at face value. I just checked myself as well but its interresting to see how nations with two or more viable SAMs at top tier tend to have lower KD/Ss per vehicle.
When we look at America for example the SLAMRAAMs KD went down from 1.15 to 1.0 and has since gone down to 0.95 since the adition of the NASAMS. In January the american NASAMS sat at around a KD of 0.99 while the swedish one sat at a healthy 1.14.
The addition of a second viable SAM decreases the possible target count apperantly drastically enough that comparing lets say the SAMP/T with the Buk M3 on a 1 to 1 basis becomes questionable.
I would have to do a more in depth analasys of the things I just said to make them a proper counterpoint to the addition of the Pantsir SM SV.
