Major Update "Line of Contact" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

its all public, not stalking.

Does the new engine not offset the weight?
From calculating it does provide a higher base TWR of 1.25 compared to 1.207, based on Wiki stats tho, channel losses will change these stats drastically as they’re different engines, empty weight in game might also differ, and fuel consumption of each respective engine will play a part.
While far from TWR like EF or Rafale it does also get AMK compared to Gripen C so it should just be better in that regard unless i missed something.

So if Gaijin doesn’t murder the engine it might actually be pretty good.

I don’t think Brimstones would count as better cas lmao, it already has GBU-39 and AGM-65.

Technically speaking Israel does have the Kfir C.10 Block 60, but it lacks a top tier AESA equipped aircraft.

Still, even if all that is modeled, it is a strictly worse EF in every metric.
Worse accel/TWR.
Worse agility.
Same weapons but less of them.
Worse-ish radar.
99.99% of being 14.3

Better than nothing I guess.

Yeah, it does kind of suck when you put it like that, i imagine even if there’s decompression the Gripen E won’t be lower BR than Rafale or AESA EFT.

In GRB it has better cas, so it has that going for it…

I think that kinda depends on what 14.3 you compare it to. Rafale 100% agree its not going to be better but id say the Gripen E would absolutely be on the same level as the SU30SM and the non-AESA EFT

Yeah thats true. Shame that all of these are crammed into a single BR.

They are stealing our planes, when Japan never even used a hornet. The “unique” stuff is just American aircraft that are unfairly not in the American tech tree

If i had to guess then Gaijin will probably move up the Rafale together with the AESA EFT and the J10C to a new BR ceiling so maybe (fingers crossed) top tier will get some decompression

They most certainly will stretch it to 14.7 or even 15.0 somewhere down the line. But as of now all of these are 14.3 and therefore will face each other all day every day every single game, no exceptions. Thats why I am making a comparison between gripen and EF.

But otherwise - yeah, those are not the same whatsoever.

Im pretty sure they will not be 14.3 on release. Even Gaijin should realize that having both EFTs on the same BR doesnt make sense so i assume the spaghetti code just prevents them from easily raising the br ceiling or something

Crazy… Anyway

Bigger wing span doesn’t help with its agility. Again better speed and acceleration for worse flight performance

prob with the upcomming new air RB that bvvd talked about

  • Ground vehicles:
    • GBR:
      • Boxer CRV Block 2 [AUS]

If that is still being worked on, I’d be happy.

Also, the Humu, if it’s talking about the Finnish plane, is funky. Into the pile of planes that I think “look fat.”

Lots of boats. ouuu- ealyer AIM-4 varints.

Yes, I did read the disclaimer and am aware that not everything is stuff still being worked on and just stuff that got as far as ending up in the files.

Br could (and should) go up to 14.7 with AESA typhoons, both rafales, J-10C (maybe), Gripen E (Maybe) while the rest of top tier is shifted around between 14.0 and 14.3

It does lol, how else would Lancaster beat F-14?

Additionally we need to know what Gripen E model gaijin wants to add. With the extended wing or not

As weve seen Brazil now have production models with these new wings and the same with swedens fleet

Not in the gripens case but funny lancaster go brr
