RIM116 is ship based. And similar to SAMs its at the mercy of having a limited supply of missiles compared to the endless stream of plane launched ones

That could be argued is a task for short range SPAA and not medium range ones perhaps. Like the EldE 98 does quite well against munitions for example. Or any of the SALCOS vehicles.

Issue being that aside from the Otomatic gun based system are quite ineffective on their own. Next to useless at shooting down planes at top tier.
And the Elde has a total of 8 missiles. That is one Su30 worth of ordinance that it can quickly replenish unlike the SAM.
Still hoping that multi vehicle SAMs can bring at least one gun based system as well.
