well 16 ir glide bombs is 16 at the end of the day you cant get them all + a brimstone or 2 in the mix
I wouldnt say its 2nd best when SPICE 250 still needs time to glide to target. Sure you have high killing potential but missiles or rocket boosted bombs are still more effective in enemy controlled airspace. In my opinion at least.
well it will be the most FNF weaponry on a plane plus 6 brimstones
It’s still worse than rafale or su-30 cas imo, but 3rd best cas in the game is still legit
I’d personally take AGM-65Gs over Brimstones. x2 AIM-9M, x1 AIM-120B, x2 AGM-65G, x16 SPICE 250
The line which doesn’t have a single attacker?
The Indonesian line goes after the R2Ys clearly
Yeah, the bomber line doesn’t have any attackers, you’re right. But it does have a lot of heavy bombers.
As opposed to the one to the left of it which is entirely made of strike aircraft and also contains the notorious fighter-bomber R2Y2.
There are only dive bombers apart from R2Y2 in that line, it isn’t a dedicated “attackers” line, don’t see any issues.
I believe Gaijin wants to put there some other stuff.
+1 i’m so sick of the air spawns. I get it kind of balances climb rate, but it shortens battle time so less rp, and you don’t get to see everyone’s cool liveries(( w/ “Aerial Warfare” they better incorporate carrier launches.
this but with radars as well!!!
Was any Gripen E ever fitted with AIM-120C-5?
only aim120b and c8 i think.

SLAM-ER for Super Hornet and SLAM for legacy
Doesnt really matter regardless it can mount the others so it goes along with the “Technically Feasable” logic
Maybe I’m tired for the night, but I recall that atleast the platform must have the mentioned weapon in-service with any country at the very least, no?
Eurofighters get shared common weapons because one has used it, things of that sort. Correct me if I’m wrong.
The new Japanese Su-30 also gets Kh-38s because the idea also there is that the Russian one uses them.
SAAB have a reputation for maximising compatibility with weapon systems so that buyers can equip whatever they happen to have in service or plan to have in service (there is evidence of Gripen with MICA but not a primary source yet for a report) So I have no doubt that AMRAAM is probably still fully compatible with the Gripen E and probably includes multiple variants (if there is any meaningful issue with swapping between variants, especially with standard pylons)
and if this report is accurate. Czech Republic did fire an Aim-120C5 from the Gripen C/D
So that at least suggests that the Gripen family, if not the Gripen E can be equipped with Aim-120C5s
There is also an argument that it can serve as a bit of a short-term placeholder for the Meteor that may or may not be coming in the near future, as that would be principle MRAAM for the Gripen E.
Thailand does still operate the Aim-120C (based upon wiki, yes I know its only wiki, but still, im being lazy here) and they have ordered the Gripen E. Its possible that they might slap a few Aim-120Cs onto the Gripen E when they arrive.
But its largely irrelevant. For now the Aim-120C5 is a side-grade over the Aim-120A/B under most conditions, only aircraft that can truly exploit what little advantage it can give is the F-15 and Typhoon as they can fire high and very fast. So whether it realistically has any impact on balance is debate to be had. Though given the Gripen E should be Swedens top tier fighter, I think giving it the “best” AMRAAMs that are in the game seem like a fairly minor thing to do, just to keep them going until Meteors are added which based upon the PL-15 leak and a few Dev stream comments, might be sooner rather later.
This as well when it comes to NATO weapons if you can think it the Gripen can probably use it
Yep, probably an easier and quicker operation to figure out what NATO weapons the Gripen CANT equip. :D
Not even limited to weapons. Portugal nearly got a Gripen E with the Typhoons TVC engine. :P
I wouldnt be suprised if the MICAs useable
Yep, certainly seems like evidence for it. Id keep an eye on Ukraine’s Gripens personally for good evidence of that
