I’m not sure. The Golden eagle can at least somewhat try to BVR. The Super Hornet has to get waay to close to actually be effective, like within Rafale range close.

True I already forgot the countermeasures.
Many missiles is nice, but if they basically become useless beyond 20km due to the airframe it’s not going to help much.
The Super Hornet runs a pistol with an extended mag while the Golden eagle, EFTs and even Su-30s are fighting with sniper rifles.

Amraam is pretty effective at range when fired from something like am F-15E and EFT.

Once you get to the point where the AMRAAM is better than other missiles, the AMRAAM still has worse performance than when it gets completely stomped by those same missiles. And it’s also still pretty easy to notch. true BVR just isn’t that viable

Not every delta canard, J-10C still has that absurd drag comparable to a F-15, devs think that past Mach 1 it will magically have twice the drag to a Rafael.

The F-15 and Flankers are heavy fighters. The Rafale and EFT are medium fighters. The size difference between a F-15 and a Rafale is as striking as that between a Rafale and a Gripen
