What is meant by instant aoa in this case?
To my knowledge the NG is a bit of a rough name. NG has been given to Gripen E prototypes at expos but they aren’t NG’s they are Gripen E prototypes

Probably thats the main vid people pull cause we dont normally get to see Gripens flying with full control of the aircraft. Most of the time to my knowledge they have the Peace switch on

IMO horrendous argument for the gripen getting 120 aoa in game as it crashed right after wards. though ig it does mean gripen is technically capable of doing it

We know the Gripen can do it but the thing is most pilot avoid doing that because theres no need to do it. Iirc someone talked about it but you can pull the canards down nearly 90° with the War switch active. But you need to remember vehicles especially Eurocanards dont fly like they do in game. Irl that type of pull makes the aircraft unstable vs in game where they are incredibly stable. Yes the Gripen has insane nose authority but its very unstable doing so just like all canard esq vehicles.

The pilot clearly is trying to do the cobra considering the Swedes are known for that maneuver. It just seems he felt that he couldn’t gain control and decided to eject.
Most militaries to my knowledge have it set that ejecting is a bigger focus if you feel you can’t save the aircraft. I cant remember if it was a Russian or German mig 23 that had a engine problem mid flught and despite control surfaces being fine he ejected instead of attempting to land.

Theres a lot of aircraft in this game that maneuver like that already. MiG-21 for example
the mig-21 cant pull +90 AoA ingame and its a stable aircraft without a FBW

G load is not aoa
and the hornet is limited to 7.5Gs and NASA was able to pull 70° of AoA with it
I know, im saying that in this case airframe strength irl compared to warthunder doesnt matter, if the Gripen can only do 120 once irl, that doesnt matter in WT so its irrelevant
