as a matter of fact as of recent that has acually changed, they have done alot better now
Exactly the Gripens production has been plagued with problems. Hell Brazil who has been a user since 2014 still doesn’t have all their promised models and have been told they may need to wait until 2032 before the last of the parts arrive.

Idk, the fact that the Gripen is only about 30-40% swedish tech makes it less viable for nations looking for a jet that can meet domestic requirements. Additionally given the F14G engine its even less appealing to people

most cuntries acually dont consider that as alot of jets have their parts made in multiple nations, this goes eaven for the F-35, tho not as mutch with the rafale
one more nation recently has bought the plane which when that increase the number from 3 to 4 I guess it is a “lot” more interest lol
compare it to 7 current users of the rafale with 2 more confirmed to be buying Rafale F4s and im not even gonna mention the F35 lol
Problem is despite SAAB offering a factory for production of Gripens, SAAB has to send the parts and they are having a hard time getting them. This is evident given the constant delays with the production of the gripen
Tbf i would feel bad if they hadn’t had a F15E equivalent for a while. Sure it sucks but its not the worst thing to wait a bit to get a top tier jet. They’ll probably get a greek Rafale soon enough.

I dont have knowlage about this but i belive they may decided to make more of the parts domesticaly being one of the ideas for why

The subtree is there already, they will probably get Indonesian aircraft at a normal non-subtree-update rate of one every few updates.
I’d also hope for mainly lower BR vehicles, since they did leave out the line that ends at rank 3 currently. Aircraft like the Cavalier Mustang 2, OV-10F, Hawk 53 and CA-27 Mk.32 would be very nice to see from Indonesia.
