Guess it was for balance. Though if the EFT can have render based arms then i see no reason the Gripen couldn’t especially since its still going to be worse even with more missiles.

its not based on renders, the dual rails we have currently that use 9Ms use the same rails all the other missile capable pylons use and are compatible with AMRAAMs
So then the same argument could work for the Gripens given have there been photos of the EFTs IRL with dual AMRAAM’s?

Literally the standard dual rail used on the F18’s and such. They just haven’t been seen using them with dual missiles
