I really dont think this will be the case I really dont, the E is a considerable upgrade over the C
Its the same way people underestimated the Gripen when it was added and it ended up being the best jet in game for as long as it did, hell its still the 3rd best dogfighter in game I think?
The Gripen was only the best jet because it was rushed it was over performing a lot and fit the meta for IR missiles, once multipath was changed and fox 3’s were added it really underperforms compared to other 13.7 light fighters. So i mean if we ignore why it was good because it was over performing then yeah
Again for RB its more meh, ill take an F16 with 6 Fox 3 over the Gripen for 13.7 or a F2 or a J10 or a Su-27SM. Again the Gripen was special for a specific environment that isn’t there anymore, its still okay just not really outstanding
Problem is the EFT and Rafale didn’t exist when the original Gripen released.
These 2 planes just outperform pretty much everything that is being added this update by a long shot, including the Gripen E.
How can we say tht and it hasnt wven released or been shown in the dev yet? It will obviously be worse but nearly as much as people are suggesting

Because the Gripen E flight performance won’t be increased nearly enough to really pose a threat to the Rafale and EFT.
Yeah it got a better engine, but it also got heavier. Meanwhile the Rafale and EFT kept the excact same flight performance as they had before, which already beat the Gripen C.
The Gripen E will be very similar to the F2 with just 2 less IR missles
The airframe and lift increase will more then make up for the weight increase as well as the F414
Dont forget the E has a higher TWR then the C
While at at much higher BR? How do you not see that?
Again the gripen E will be a light fighter against heavies while at the same BR as the heavies

Similar not worse, its not as if the F2 doesnt see top tier almost every match trust me I know.

E has 9 pylons afaik one dedicated to a pod or ECM and the rest missle capable, could be wrong
Isn’t there a 0.3 TWR difference between the Gripen C and EFT?
I doubt the Gripen E’s TWR increases that much to close the gap lol.

And it will do fine, I believe and dont get me wrong I am a Gripen SIMP I realize this but genuinely dont put it down before we even see it in game
1.04 with the E vs the 0.97 of the C, also forgetting the awful wing load the E has
E is the super hornet of the Gripens
