Yes there is, but you’ll see when you actually play a plane like the Hornet instead of a plane that basically flies itself (EFT).

It is a BVRAAM like Meteor but not on the same level.
Meteor the DL side the ability to LOAL to adjust thrust to guarantee the best chances of interception.
Gaijin will never model these feature it will just remain a long range missile.
Hornet is trash but it would be better if the 120s were better.

If the AIM-120s would be buffed the hornet would still be mid-mediocre, since every other AIM-120 platform would also be buffed.
So the already much better planes would get the same buff, so then it cancels eachother out.

Only bad part is I believe they cause the Hornet to be sub mach because of how heavy they are
yes but when you consider most 120 planes are F-15s or F/A-18 with Typhoon the change would be a net positive certainly to the none Russian teams.
