It getting axed kill the domestic Canadian aerospace industry. Started the death of the RCAF, among other things.
So that everyone doesn’t include Canada. The only nation it was a good thing to was the US.
Just a reminder Canada had to buy a US design at triple the price for a worse air frame just to fill the role of the CF-105.
Congratulations on learning about cockpit designs of early missile interceptors. It wasn’t the only one like this.
Just a reminder the Arrow was interceptor, not a fighter. Could it have you’ve been converted into the role of a fighter? possibly but it’d struggle.
Was it cutting edge? Sorta, the reason why it was running over budget was because much of its tech was being swapped for the latest tech at the time giving the reason the project was delayed a number of times.
Is it a wonder weapon? No but it’s embellishment does come from somewhere, mainly the fact that only left behind lost and destruction, of the nations domestic industry and military(from foreign interference from it’s allies no less).
F-106 better all round as an interceptor. Arrow wasn’t really even cutting edge whatsoever since US and Soviet air defense systems like SAGE were being made,
They themselves said they were ‘competitors to S300’ so far from S400 counterpart. Also I doubt they are very effective, since S-300s are still in service, as well as funny enough Buk and even crotales.
Yes, I remembered it was to be a naval vehicle- but it worries me the possibility of it being some PT boat or minesweeper instead of Battleship, not gonna lie xD
Since they had a Kaiten as a decoration in the files, my guess is that its a Japanese ship. The Kitakami would certainly be related to torpedoes as she can carry 40 Long Lances
So Gaijin isn’t deciding to make further changes to the Spyder? In the end, while all other AA systems have been enhanced, Israel got a… fire-and-forget Osa? It’s even worse than the Osa. The clown-like Python 5 loses all energy for maneuvering when it flies to 6km, and the Derby can only fly 8km.
