Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

I will give it that was an interesting concept they tested. Both canards and rear elevators.

Hard to remember a time that didn’t exist.

Yep, F-106 flew first while not being a complete failure

I already got corrected. I still maintain my point that there is clearly a degree of copying in the KJ600 airframe

The Arrow was a terrible airframe that did absolutely nothing that other designs from the time couldn’t do better. It getting axed was a good thing for everybody.

Anybody saying it’s better is just huffing the copium reserves in Ontario.

Also it had an atrocious cockpit canopy design.

Also TVC I think. Imagine the things it could do lol

Yeah they did the smart thing by picking NORAD and missiles

The F-4 first flew the same year as the Arrow, it was honestly outdated by the time they started construction on the airframe

The Arrow was cheeks

You are right. But this is our pragmatic side. As long as it is excellent, you should study, and don’t worry about self-esteem. Learning is never a shameful thing.

It getting axed kill the domestic Canadian aerospace industry. Started the death of the RCAF, among other things.

So that everyone doesn’t include Canada. The only nation it was a good thing to was the US.

Just a reminder Canada had to buy a US design at triple the price for a worse air frame just to fill the role of the CF-105.

Congratulations on learning about cockpit designs of early missile interceptors. It wasn’t the only one like this.

Just a reminder the Arrow was interceptor, not a fighter. Could it have you’ve been converted into the role of a fighter? possibly but it’d struggle.

Was it cutting edge? Sorta, the reason why it was running over budget was because much of its tech was being swapped for the latest tech at the time giving the reason the project was delayed a number of times.

Is it a wonder weapon? No but it’s embellishment does come from somewhere, mainly the fact that only left behind lost and destruction, of the nations domestic industry and military(from foreign interference from it’s allies no less).

Nobody forced them to buy from Lockheed.
Well… I suppose the incomprehensibly large backroom bribes from Lockheed would technically count.

Looks more like a MiG 1.44

They buffed the mag size to 70 and removed the ready rack mechanic on the last dev server. So should be fine at 9.0.

F-106 better all round as an interceptor. Arrow wasn’t really even cutting edge whatsoever since US and Soviet air defense systems like SAGE were being made,

They themselves said they were ‘competitors to S300’ so far from S400 counterpart. Also I doubt they are very effective, since S-300s are still in service, as well as funny enough Buk and even crotales.

The new version from 2020s I mean

Add a canard to every plane plz.

I actually have no idea which one you are talking about.

Spoiler

There are way too many names that I have no idea what they mean and how they are named.

And there are more

Also they disclosed very few details on the range, but given the predecessor has sth like 150km range I doubt it has S-400 effectiveness.

They at least tried a couple of languages.
Just report them.

Question!

In the event cycle, now it was the turn for a ship, right?

I hope it’s a really big one while we are at it, hahah. A KGV, a South Dakota, Tirpitz, or whatever.
