Anyone got any idea if Gaijin plans on adding IOG + DL or LOAL to the IR Type 81 C? The missile can’t utilize it’s max range in the state it is now, needing a full IR lock to launch despite being slaved to the radar.

Should be able to as long as you have sources to back it up.
This is an understatement. I can’t speak about the changed SLM as I haven’t seen the missile performance in action yet, but the Derby-SR and 120C-7 (previously C-5) seemed incredibly easy to counter for cas. These 2 and old SLM are (or were in the case of SLM) honestly just sad.
Only reason the Spyder will do well is because no matter how sad it is, it will still be an upgrade over the Chaparral.

The SR got changed but IDK how does it works RN.
Only change I saw in the datamines for the SR was a statcard change. Only saw python changes (nerfs iirc, but could be wrong) in the datamines.
Typical solution tho. Instead of buffing the horrible Derby-SR or changing it for Derby-ER, they just nerf the well performing Python 5.
I think you already know i agree with you, mate, lol. They’re undoubtedly a let down. But my overall point was just ‘something is better than nothing’ kinda cope lol.
I don’t have the German AA line to top tier so i can’t see what that’s looking like on Dev with these (seemingly promising?) changes.
For Spyder at least, Derby has now been officially named I-Derby SR, and it’s still woefully inadequate for top tier. On the bright side at least, Python actually now pulls enough wherein i can hit that Heli in test drive 0.9km away, which is a lot better than the 2km+ before.

I’m hitting the biggest copium/hopium that they’ll release the Spyder with Derby-ER as a modification and Derby-SR as a stock missile, like they are doing with the CS/SA5.
I know 99.9% sure that I’m wrong, but I’ll keep inhaling the copium/hopium until the moment the update releases.

With the ADATS, by pressing the target number you slave the turret in azimuth. So, that is something at least.
