The J-10 was loosely inspired by the Lavi, however nothing more. It’s very much its own thing.

Personally i see china copying things as a metric of whether or not something is a good design.
Therefore the Blackhawk is obviously the best transport helicopter ever designed and the Flanker is the best fighter in the world.

Wrong and wrong. That’d be the NH-90 and a shared #1 between the Rafale and J-10
they only didnt copy the eagle because they couldnt get their hands on one
They didn’t get their hands on a F-35 either but that didn’t stop them from copying it so. Probably in this case no need since they already have the SU-27 platform

yeah, not much use in having 2 different heavy 4 gen fighter airframes and its easier and cheaper to copy the Su because they physically had one to inspect
NH-90? whats so good about it?

F2 is not a global cockpit. I think this is a failed modification

can the target selection be done with a cursor on a X and Y axis like an air radar, or is it still the target cycling mechanic ?
I think current AAs also have a cursor mechanic, but instead of simply being X,Y, you can only move it along azimuth and distance, which is quite uncomfortable to use imo

BVVD basically said they were working on it, but didn’t specify any date. It won’t come in Leviathans, that’s more or less confirmed. Most likely the September patch, or maybe October/November if development takes a bit of time, as it happens sometimes.
Now i hate to be the pessimistic guy, but SAMP/T only carries Aster-30, not Aster-15. Aster-30 in its early iterations is a ~120km missile (and around 60-70km against aircrafts actively evading).
Which means :
- Equivalents will be added at the same time (which i don’t mind tbh)
or - Something will be ahistorical on the system, like the ability to carry Aster-15 which is more in line with IRIS-T SLM, but radar guided (30-45 km max range)
That is pretty undeniably a good looking helicopter and I don’t even know what it is
