Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

So @Smin1080p_WT

Anything else gotten fuel dumping mechanic or is that still a F-111A only mechanic?

As per the changelog: Major Update “Leviathans” — DEV Server Changelog (30.05.2025) - server is now locked

  • Fuel dumping mechanic has been added. The fuel can be ignited with the afterburner flame and has its own IR signature. The mechanic is available on the F-111A.

not even the C and F have it?

nvm, thats sad. most F-111 fuel dump videos are C’s since those were the last to go lol

Seriously. Whats the point of developing an entire new mechanic only to add it to a single aircraft and one that wont even benefit from it. The Harriers or other VTOLs could actually make full use of the fuel dumping mechanic to drop their weight down to allow for VTOL landings.

The F-111A getting it and being the only aircraft to get it just because its one of a few that show off the fuel burn trick at airshows is kinda dumb.

Would have been far better to develop fuel dumping and give it to everyone, maybe even with no visual effects and then go back and add the fuel dumping visuals + fuel burning mechanic, not the other way round.

no, the vfx are necessary

where have I seen this one before, oh wait right for the F111A with MAWS

For what?

The important part is just getting rid of excess fuel if needed. the potential benefit from WW2 heavy fighters or even bombers dropping down below 30% fuel to harriers and co being able to drop down to VTOL weight beats out any possible visuals of it.

And if developing the VFX means its limited to a single vehicle in a single nation. Then it was a bad decision.

@Smin1080p_WT Since on the updated dev notes would the C-3604 be a pre-order or a standard pack released after the update ?

it looks cool

Yeah…

Stay tuned to the news next week. More info to come.

I hope so even though I highly disagree with it being a premium, I’m still gonna get it lol

Anything on the IRIS-T SLM missile speed reports?

As its the weekend, there will generally be little news to provide on report updates I’m afraid.

The time to target’s report remains open: Community Bug Reporting System

Hey, Smin.

About the MTB-460 that’s coming. Last I’d seen it had the British as operator; however, as far as I can find(from asking around and looking up), it only had Canadian crew and served the RCN. Are there plans to change the operator nation before it hits live?

Hey.

As far as im aware we have no reports on this or internal suggestions, so a report would be welcome with any evidence to clarify that. We can pass it for review for consideration then.

Thx for your reply earlier, speaking of reports, are there reports on the Su-25TM (Su-39) missing air to ground weaponry? there are pictures showing the aircraft having access to more weaponry on some wing pylons, it is currently missing options for two Kh-29T/TE’s and two 8 Vikhr ATGM pylons.
Due to the aircraft’s nature primary and secondary sources are difficult to come by.

aditional Kh-29T/TE placement

You can see here the inner most pylon is occupied by a Kh-58U and there is a Kh-29T/TE next to it, you can also see the Vikhr pods moved to the middle pylon and an R-73 on the outermost pylon.

There are suggestions for KAB-500L, Kh-25MTP, R-27R/ER/R-77 and increased numbers of Kh-25, R-60 and R-73. But I cant find any suggestion reports for the Kh-29 family or additional Vikhirs.

that reminds me, are there any news on the R-27R/ER for the Su-39? the thing even flew with them and it is a real shame it isn’t able to take them in game as it severely hampers it’s ability to defend itself in air rb

For the time being, its not something planned for the aircraft anytime soon.
