Ya, the event tank make it a issue(it might has been possible with a new tree, as I heard Gaijin used to add some event vehicles as TT), sadly looking at the Canadian ground, the 5.X isn’t the best area of the tree.
Could be Firefly with APDS, Skink, 76 Sherman, as our best compromise. The issue is Canadian E8s come from after the war so it hard to use them with a thematic line-up. And things like two 76s would have the US mains crying foul, and their isn’t exactly other options.
You’d have more luck with 3.X-4.X line ups but any potential pack would need things not in game yet(and some need a TT one first).
Tho, a pack like this won’t happen untill all the Host and Sub tree get their own packs or we finally get a Canadian TT or ST. But speculating a possible pack is fun.
I think Japan will probably be something like the Chi-Nu, Ho-Ni III and whatever SPAA is closest to it.
Would pre-order for a second Chi-Ri tho, not sure what else could come with that. Na-To?
edit: I just checked and the Ho-Ni III and Na-To are both .7 and 1.0 below what I thought they were. I guess its been a while since I last played Japan.
Fuel dumping mechanic has been added. The fuel can be ignited with the afterburner flame and has its own IR signature. The mechanic is available on the F-111A.
Seriously. Whats the point of developing an entire new mechanic only to add it to a single aircraft and one that wont even benefit from it. The Harriers or other VTOLs could actually make full use of the fuel dumping mechanic to drop their weight down to allow for VTOL landings.
The F-111A getting it and being the only aircraft to get it just because its one of a few that show off the fuel burn trick at airshows is kinda dumb.
Would have been far better to develop fuel dumping and give it to everyone, maybe even with no visual effects and then go back and add the fuel dumping visuals + fuel burning mechanic, not the other way round.
The important part is just getting rid of excess fuel if needed. the potential benefit from WW2 heavy fighters or even bombers dropping down below 30% fuel to harriers and co being able to drop down to VTOL weight beats out any possible visuals of it.
And if developing the VFX means its limited to a single vehicle in a single nation. Then it was a bad decision.
About the MTB-460 that’s coming. Last I’d seen it had the British as operator; however, as far as I can find(from asking around and looking up), it only had Canadian crew and served the RCN. Are there plans to change the operator nation before it hits live?
As far as im aware we have no reports on this or internal suggestions, so a report would be welcome with any evidence to clarify that. We can pass it for review for consideration then.
