The LDIRCM currently behaves like an IRCM system, blinding everything even with 1 laser.
You know what system the LDIRCM should behave like? The MUSS on the PUMA, so the MWS detects a target, the LDIRCM slews and blinds it, 1 target at a time.
Not to mention that on the Mi-28MN it should only have bottom side coverage, and is obscured slightly in the front as well.
Depends on the emitter specifically but generally they have a very tight (~3-5 degrees) dispersion pattern to maximize apparent signal strength / effective range and account for positional inaccuracies of the MAW.
Yeah they wouldn’t be that strong, especially if the targeting zones would be accurate, it can’t really defend from missiles coming from above or even from the front, on the Mi-28NM at least, dunno about the Mi-8.
Yeah, that would realistically defend against most manpads, not what helicopters fight against in game tho.
What does the LDIRCM on the mi-8 look like?
Although they work differently compared to the lazer dazzler on the havoc, it would nevertheless be great to see them on the ZTZ99/99A, making up for poor firepower and protection with mobility and software
Wouldn’t be the best of ideas to chuck it in front of the cockpit which both blocks the view as well as have potential dangers although I do see the rear covered off. Also can see a bit of the inside which looks like laser.
I mean yeah? They got a mid plane for air RB 1 update after the others got it and it’s a mid CAS plane in the same update that introduces new SAMs, which of the 12.7-13.0 planes hurts the Hornet especially hard.
Yeah youre right, Gaijin should have created a fictional aircraft so Germany could dominate Air RB. Also, they should not add better AA for Ground RB. It is definitely not needed
