I’m so confused by him calling me out like that, for that reason?
Literally all my comments above are being bummed out at the SPAA we’re getting being undercooked. The vast majority of my comments on the forums in general are complaining about CAS & begging for better AA.
How’s bro reading that, and coming to the conclusion I’m a biased CAS defender? Makes no sense lmao.
He’s made me out to be the antithesis of what I actually am xD
Rarely.
Good question, my intuition says only bottom, but it’d be best to test it.
i mean at the bottom side.
Does it “spin” the 150 arc over the vertical axis of the vehicle, effectively making it a 180, or does it keep the blind spot in the front?

It’s a 360° horizontal 150° vertical arc around the horizontal -180° vertical -75° centre point.
so lets change the topic.
currently Z-10 in dev server had its LWS/MAWS removed
but they are right there
Not the first time Gaijin’s ignored things like this cough Shimakaze’s third turret cough
Yea, but what im asking about is the fact that if you turn 150 arc(red) 180 degree, it now covers the whole hemisphere (yellow)
But i guess it does keep the blindspot at the front
question is : what happens if you shoot multiple missiles at once ?
Since it’s directed, it should only affect one missile at a time, no ?
Right? MAW seems to be “covered” but that’s their model issue. Both systems are right there on Z-10.
The LDIRCM currently behaves like an IRCM system, blinding everything even with 1 laser.
You know what system the LDIRCM should behave like? The MUSS on the PUMA, so the MWS detects a target, the LDIRCM slews and blinds it, 1 target at a time.
Not to mention that on the Mi-28MN it should only have bottom side coverage, and is obscured slightly in the front as well.
ok so it’s overperforming at the moment i take it ?
other than its questionable efficiency on IIR seekers i mean.
If rotor return was modeled for ARH seekers, and DIRCM only worked on 1 IR missile at a time, this new feature wouldn’t be that much of a problem
it is there in live server, but in dev server it is removed.
not a model issue, model is right, they are there, but now gone, really weird
Depends on the emitter specifically but generally they have a very tight (~3-5 degrees) dispersion pattern to maximize apparent signal strength / effective range and account for positional inaccuracies of the MAW.
Yeah they wouldn’t be that strong, especially if the targeting zones would be accurate, it can’t really defend from missiles coming from above or even from the front, on the Mi-28NM at least, dunno about the Mi-8.
Yeah, that would realistically defend against most manpads, not what helicopters fight against in game tho.
What does the LDIRCM on the mi-8 look like?
