Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

It’s titled DIRCM test video

I dunno. I don’t play CAS or SPAA. But I regularly try to play CAP, and doing anything other than throwing ARHs is a death sentence at top tier. I just know these new SPAA are going to make it even harder to do that.

In theory any ARH can when close enough and with LOAL on some SAM systems, can send an ARH in the direction of a heli and have it eventually gain lock right before impact

Probably incorrectly, could just be a CIRCM which is specific.

CIRCM is a DIRCM system, the C just means common since it’s standardized for most of the US Army’s helicopters

Yes, these are on Israeli UH-60s iirc

What part of “US Army Helicopters” doesn’t make sense?

Since your being so specific, Israel does not have CIRCM on its helicopters it’s a different DIRCM system made by Elbit. Infact the contract was signed only a little over 2 weeks ago

Still sounds more like luck than anything else :D

Why? It’s all round protection from the most modern IR threats, that’s the whole point

I looked into teapache DIRCM and saw a couple mentions of interest in getting DIRCM upgrades. Combined with how UK is also getting CIRCM (same one on US AH-64E) for some of their H-47’s, there is a real possibility of them getting it

They’ll be more dangerous than current SACLOS AA if you enter their range bubble, but ultimately, besides SLM, none of them are bringing any additional range over what we already had.

Tan Sam and Elde are like 8-10km. Spyder and SLAMRAAM probably going to be too low energy to reliably hit something maneuvering beyond 15km.

Yo, has anyone asked if any of the tt vehicles were moved and foldered? (Or if theres a video out for it already)

The Dev server is still open. Could always check on there for the specific things you had in mind.

unless you are going to tell me that the “F-14A+” existed in 1974 -'75, that’s an -14A.

Also, feel free to compare with this handy dandy chart.
