What are the chances that this report will be implemented? We are getting numerous new SPAAs in the update, most aircraft have fire and forget weapons, except the Eurofighter. Otherwise the Eurofighter gonna have a really hard time against the new AAs
Either everything that could get this feature (F-14, F-16, Tornado, F-2, JF-17) or nothing should get it, it’s a blatant double standard.
It already does on this aircraft that have this feature. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen Typhoons, Su-27’s/30’s etc just falling out of the sky after thinking it was just a “insta win button”. To some extent it’s on the player to use it sparingly and when necessary, if they use it wrong then they lose, this is how it should be.
@Smin1080p_WT while you are here, can you answer whether this was an intended change for the Baz M, given the numerous reports and changes in the past to give it the radar it has on the Live Server?
Categorically untrue. Maybe there’s some basis for that claim with the Tornado, but the F-14 can easily pull 90 degrees AOA and pulls better sustained when you full pull. This also boils down to the ignoring of the F-14’s flightmodel for years.
That already is happening. That’s not a valid excuse. Refusing to respect history because of a theoretical is unprofessional, and I have a feeling you know that.
It doesn’t matter what the intention is frankly. The game prides itself in being realistic. Refusing to add real features that other aircraft already have is the opposite of that.
I’m disappointed Smin. I thought you’d be better than to do this.
The Tornado does have it, but what Smin is trying to spin up is that somehow the F-14 isn’t maneuverable enough to use it. The tornado is a bomber, so it’s obviously not as maneuverable as a dedicated dogfighter. That’s why I said that.
Hey. If there was news, the report itself would generally be updated with a status update. Right now there is no news on it. At least, its not something planned for this major, thats for sure.
F-2 is an aircraft with AoA manoeuvring that is within the band intended to have the feature. Its currently considered a mistake it currently does not as it was not yet fully set up. Until a dev can respond to the matter and clarify.
What about for stuff like the F-16’s or the JF-17? There’s been reports up for them since the AoA override was first added? The F-16’s even use the same system as the Typhoons, the Manual Pitch Override.
Im sorry that you are disappointed, but this is not a new answer. I have also personally answered you on this via a PM you sent some time ago. So im not sure why you are acting as though this is new information.
As per the PM on 24th April:
Currently there are several aircraft (F-14, Tornado F.3 and some others) that have this feature IRL but do not currently in game. As unlike the other aircraft that already have it, it would lead to a far more unstable flight model with very little beneficial gain to gameplay.
So for the time being at least, its not planned for any aircraft outside of those that have it. Naturally this may change in the future.
