I mean, obviously maximum ranges and practical ranges are two very different things, i was just making the point that I-Derby ER is more similar to the range perfromance of SLM (Both in maximum / practical) than I-Derby SR is, so it makes sense to add ER.
Atleast IRL because currently the SLM struggles hitting a target at 20km out
And likewise, Derby ER will struggle hitting target 20km, which is better than getting SR which will probably struggle to hit things at half that distance lol.
(Whether or not it’s realistic for them to struggle like this, i’m no rocket scientist so idk, but in WT terms, they’d struggle equally, so balance achieved).
It is quite funny because currently you might say that the Iris-T SLS is better because it has more g-pull while basically having the same range
I also hate that Gaijin is also gutting all the ground targets seen here as well as on maps such as Denmark and Afghanistan, it not only makes playing strike aircraft more annoying but makes the map lifeless without any vehicle columns. Also maps like Falklands/Islas Malvinas is a great opportunity to add naval columns as well
Likewise, If Spyder is given Python 5 & Derby SR, Python will probably just be better for much the same reason lol.
The Derby might be harder to defeat, I heard that it is quite hard to defend against the slamraam if you don’t expect it.

Can only really speculate as we’ve not seen these missiles ingame yet, so time will tell.
The most important thing about the Spyder AIO is that it doesn’t come with a basic Derby missile mount. At least starting with the I Derby SR, but the developers are trying to ignore the historical accuracy.

Also @Smin1080p_WT How come this report on the Comanche missing the feature to stow the gun get’s tossed out and needs to be posted here as a suggestion but other reports on missing features like an RWR can get “passed as suggestion”? They are both missing features but why can one be reported and the other cannot?
Because the mechanic itself does not exist in game. Whereas RWRs naturally very much do exist already in game.
So where would I submit the suggestion to? Obviously in the suggestion area but would it be under Gameplay, or Misc, or would it be under Heli like weapon suggestions for helicopters?
