C-7 or C-8? yeah I’d be alright with it, would prefer an AIM-120D but Raptor is meaningfully faster, and such a potent opposing missile might mean it actually gets good stealth.

And yet Typhoon with Aim-120B vs F-15E with Aim-120C5 (and assuming not a single bug fix for the Typhoon) do you really consider that fair or any different to leaving the F-22 with Aim-120C5 vs Typhoon with Meteor ?
Isn’t Meteor still better than AIM-120D in max range and NEZ? C-7 of course is still going to be worse but F-22 has other advantages, just like Typhoon vs. f-15

Yeah but like I said, typhoon has other advantages over the F-15 just like 22 has advantages over the typhoon, which justifies the worse AAM

And even in WVR. The Typhoon is good, but Aim-9M handicap it loads and the 27mm Mauser is middling

F-15 has 9M too so it’s down to FM where Typhoon wins
The F-15E already has a BVR advantage, that’s literally the trade-off.
The Typhoon is the better dogfighter and the F-15E is the better BVR platform.
The F-15E and I Ra’am don’t need the C-5, but since they are getting the C-5, the Typhoon should get them as well (or the F-15E and I should go up in BR)

Maybe? But is underperforming quite a bit at the moment. engine looses like 25% of its thrust for about 20 seconds whenever it turns. Really needs a report done for it.

@KhorneFlakez1337 if EFT gets even some of the FM and radar fixes Morvran is talking about it’ll at least be equal to the F-15E for BVR flight performance, it’s already better in accel and manueverability for defending
ill be honest, BVR’ing in WT really doesnt work if people are actually paying attention to their RWR or your shooting at an enemy thats also at a high altitude. the F-15 is very much not as capable at evading Fox 3’s thanks to being an absolute brick except at very long range where being a brick doesnt hurt as much since it has a crazy engine. Anywhere at close-medium range the F-15 is pretty much a free kill with Fox 3’s because it cannot notch in time

The F-15 can run 8x AMRAAM or 2x Aim-9M and 6x AMRAAM
The Typhoon can only run 2x Aim-9M and 6x AMRAAM or ditch some of the AMRAAM for more AIm-9M.
But the Typhoon is better because it has 2x pylons that can only equip Aim-9M?
If you don’t run AIM-9Ms, why would you get into WVR with a Typhoon?

The difference though. Whilst the F-15 gets into the notch slower. It has a large pool of regular CMs to deploy to defeat a missile.
Meaning its more likely too spoof the missile than the Typhoon is dropping BOL Chaff. Ive had fights before where even though im in the notch with period chaff release on. Im still hit by a missile because the missile has ignored the BOL chaff
Its better because of its FM for defense and WVR as well as climbing, and having a better M-scan once fixed and probably at least equal if partially fixed
why yall bvr anyways its like the worst way to fight at top tier
