Been trying it out in the dev, yeah its kind of like a brick, Strikemaster is superior in pretty much every way outside of a lack of a cannon (which gaijin can fix by adding the miniguns I suggested for strikemaster!).
I think a lot of people overhyped themselves into thinking it would be way better then it is. Lovely plane still imo IRL and iconic and I hope we see an Italy, China and Japan version from their sub tree options. Just not an amazing CAS plane for GRB or combat for air RB.
I am considering getting it, but given its rank V (really it should be rank IV but oh well) I will likely hold off for a 50% off instead of buying day 1. I aint really into Russia so it doesnt fit me for GRB either, if we got an Italian 1 though… maybe day 1 buy.
I mean due to the former warsaw pact production corrdinations, the L-39 is used by the entire PACT, not counting convert trainers like MiG-29UB, and before Yak-130(which is also cool), the albatros is the only universal trainer, with countries like Czechia, Ukraine and Poland still using them today
We are already getting the T-72B3M this update, so that means that there is no more space for another somewhatbinteresting MBT to get added for the remainder of 2025.
