Been trying it out in the dev, yeah its kind of like a brick, Strikemaster is superior in pretty much every way outside of a lack of a cannon (which gaijin can fix by adding the miniguns I suggested for strikemaster!).
I think a lot of people overhyped themselves into thinking it would be way better then it is. Lovely plane still imo IRL and iconic and I hope we see an Italy, China and Japan version from their sub tree options. Just not an amazing CAS plane for GRB or combat for air RB.
I am considering getting it, but given its rank V (really it should be rank IV but oh well) I will likely hold off for a 50% off instead of buying day 1. I aint really into Russia so it doesnt fit me for GRB either, if we got an Italian 1 though… maybe day 1 buy.

Would be cool for the L-39 to get a skin based on aerobatic teams e.g Baltic Bees, a Latvian aerobatic team.
If comes with AIM-9J, it can survive easily at 9.3.

Hopefully they swap J35XS with a J35J (Like the CV90105 model swap) and place it in the tech tree.
I mean due to the former warsaw pact production corrdinations, the L-39 is used by the entire PACT, not counting convert trainers like MiG-29UB, and before Yak-130(which is also cool), the albatros is the only universal trainer, with countries like Czechia, Ukraine and Poland still using them today

What are the current characteristics of the AIM-9N on the dev? Is it an 9J with a different motor?
Thats just the base SEP with a photoshopped flag and alledged blur to avoid censorship, but in practice all M1A2Ts has CROWS so thats a bad attempt

Even without that knowledge it’s obviously fake.
We are already getting the T-72B3M this update, so that means that there is no more space for another somewhatbinteresting MBT to get added for the remainder of 2025.
The annual new mbt is going to Russia.

Unless you use macros and dump like 10-20 chaff in 0.5 seconds with each click, then it starts to feel like large caliber chaff
