Czech sub tree later for sure
Will there be an adition of the R-27EA to have an equivalent to the 120C-5 or is it just gonna be power creeping cuz why not?
Timing is the issue, to get the missile to bite on the chaff you need to chaff effectively, while you are dropping small sprinkles that missile is getting closer and ignoring your chaff. If you could dump 100-200 chaff in one go sure but the most is 4 puffs
As SAMs mind you.
Doesn’t mean they will come as A2A missiles anytime soon
P-400 was the Airacobra 1A in Brit service, which was the P-39C equivalent, just with a 20mm.
If RCAF had an Airacobra II/P-39D it was probably a one off, delivered after the RAF had found the 1As to be subpar and reboxed them to send to Russia.
It makes sense RCAF could be given Bell’s next model to evaluate for the RAF, rather than flying it across the Atlantic. In any event it seems they flew the one and only Airacobra II into a tree shortly after delivery :)
R-27EAs don’t exist
Hi @Smin1080p_WT . I do really like the new SAM systems, and the mechanic of the multiple vehicle SAMs. I don’t speak Russian, but I have been told that Bvvd might have mentioned that additional systems could come to the nations that are not currently planned for addition (soo, Italy, UK, France and Russia ?) this update if the models are ready. Is this correct ? If so, I really hope that the devs responsible for creating those systems emphasis on those additions. I’m posting this just to show that us players are really hoping they can pull this off. I really believe it would be better for the overall game balance that all nations receive equivalents, just like when ARH were introduced (not counting phoenixes), because the new systems performances completely change the balance of the game, and it would not be good to create such asymmetrical gameplay. Especially since Italy, along side Israel, is the nation that needs a modern SAM the most!
Technically it does, R-27A got tested on the MiG-29 in 1985 iirc.
@Smin1080p_WT , sorry to disturb you but it has come to my attention once again that israel is lacking their spice air to ground bombs, its a shame israeli air mains have to go through another update with ought local air to ground munitions, is there any reasoning to why they havent been added yet ?
Confirmed that there isn’t one
i am very aware of that, simply a question since gaijin doesn’t wanna fix the drag of the R-77 and R-77-1
We’ll see, kinda obvious at this point
One step closer buddy just seeing ASRAAM in game will be enough
I mean, it probably is coming in form of the CAMM when Britains medium range SAM is added
That’s just a Block 6 ASRAAM with extra steps :P
This major update gaijin test 5th gen infrared for Surface-to-Air Missile before Air-to-Air Missile ?
AIM-9X (Block I) and R-74M worse than other early 5th gen Air-to-Air Missile (such as AIM-132 Block I, MICA IR, AIM-2000 (analog) and AAM-5)
I mean on the Raven Sam system I doubt we will get it next mini update.
They aren’t testing 5th gen IR missiles. They are adding new SAMs.
The surface to air performance of these missiles is not an indicator for their performance when used for their original purpose (as A2A missiles).
This level of missiles on aircraft are going to legitimately ruin the game.
They’re commonly banned in DCS lobbies for good reason.
