Was the same for Leopard 2A7 shortly before release if I remember correctly
did you reply to the wrong message?
When is dev closing? Im assuming update will be next tuesday.
Tomorrow IIRC
The event ends next week and the update will probably release soon after, so i’m not betting on us getting a second dev server
Oh my God… are you serious?
I thought we had made an achievement by reducing the amount of required Rank VI ships from 6 to 5 to unlock Rank VII…
At least you could skip one.
And now, they do this? This means that you still have to research and purchase EVERY Rank VI ship. Effectively, therefore, literally nothing has changed.
We need the requirement to be dropped to 4, then.
The 6>5 change already affected just 1 nation… but now it literally affects no one. Everyone still has to research and purchase every single Rank VI in order to unlock Rank VII…
Example;
Spoiler
Before any changes, you needed:
6x VIs:
Texas
Nevada
Arizona
Tennessee
Colorado
Alaska
After the first change, you needed:
5x VIs:
Texas
Nevada
Arizona
Tennessee
Colorado / Alaska (you can skip one)
After the second change, you need:
“5x VIs”:
Texas (yes, it’s Rank V, but you need it to unlock Rank VI anyway)
Nevada
Arizona
Tennessee
Colorado
Alaska
So we are back to square 1. You still need to research and purchase everything.
@Smin1080p_WT , do you know if any adjustments will be made?
Oh no so it could come out friday. Well then.
Gaijin really went bonkers with the rank nerfs to US ships this update
The 6.0 (now 6.3) cruiser line-up is getting +0.3 br and -1 rank lmao
Where’s the difference between having to research 5 with one being optional and having to research 5 over-all?
Before, with the announced requirement changes, you could skip, for example, USS Colorado or USS Alaska, since USS Texas was Rank VI.
Now, you can’t; since USS Texas will be Rank V, you have to research every single Rank VI ship, just like before they announced the 6>5 Rank VI vehicle requirement to unlock Rank VII.
I was willing to spend 50 bucks on GE’ing USS Iowa entirely.
But if they do this, obviously I can’t do it.
Shame, right?
I really thought we had achieved something with the excessive Rank unlock requirements…
Yes, meant to be the one above it
That is also where most of the development time for the US, German and Israeli medium range sam went as well lol. Half the nations aren’t getting anything and the other half are getting what are essentially a joke of a SAM.
I can’t wait to see Gaijin hype these up as the “long awaited Pantsir counterparts” even though they are much worse.
Likely not, event is still running until the 17th. So next week is much more likely.
Yeah, but it’s still just 5 Rank VI ships, the requirement didn’t go up.
Even if they kept the Texas in Rank VI, you’d have to research that or the Alaska at some point anyways
It went up.
Before, if you purchased; Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, Nevada and Arizona, you could go for the Iowa, skipping Colorado.
Not anymore; now you need Alaska, Tennessee, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado; and, of course, Texas in order to unlock those.
I must be unable to do maths properly, because to my knowledge until now 5=5 and not 5=6.
They also moved some of the Rank V ships down to Rank IV, but I guess that doesn’t matter.
Anyways, sucks to play the US I guess, US suffers n stuff
Just as a reminder, the British and Japanese trees are sitting in the same boat (pun not intended)

At what time tomorrow does the DEV end?
They are moving FOUR ships from Rank V to Rank IV and one from Rank VI to Rank V.
For people that do not have everything up to Rank VI researched yet this is a significant reduction in grind requirements.
Just because you have to research the entirety of Rank VI again doesn’t mean the requirement went up.
