That’s a massive shame, I guess that kind of mechanic isn’t important enough to get fixed. Most people probably didn’t even know they could spawn on carriers while using naval planes in the first place, so I do understand why it would have such a low priority.
Except Harriers can not catobar launch lol
Irl at least.
It might not be finished or it might be buggy, but you can click the visual button descriptions below the radar in the center to do those actions. So the “left click fire from the main caliber gun” button can actually be pressed to fire the missile. Not sure if intended though.
There’s nothing to test, those br are a clown show and a proof of the fact that gaijin simply doesn’t understand how to balance naval high tier
In what world shoud a 6" cruiser see battleships (that you can’t do anything about except spam HE and prays that whoever you’re firing at has less braincells than the 2 required to stop the fire and delete you in 1-2 salvos) regularly
and i’m not even gonna talk about the US 6.0 (now 6.3) cruiser line-up that got anihilated back to tier 4 but got an extra 0.3 br just to make sure that it still sees Scharhorsts and Krons regularly
Meanwhile, these 2 (aka the most broken ship in the game and the second most broken ship in the game) barely got the same 0.3 extra br lmao
yep, they launch World War style
Excelent news for USS Iowa fans! If you load 495 shells or less, the upper magazines and shell rooms are depleted, eliminating the worrying weakspots that threatened to make Iowa extremely weak. Instead, she will actually be as strong as she deserves to be, making her the 2nd best Battleship ingame!
Let’s just hope this doesn’t change for the live server. Iowa is the best Battleship class ever made by the U.S. She deserves to be as great as she is expected to be; something only possible thanks to being able to deplete the upper ammunition racks.
Nah, who cares how they launch when they have 10-12 tons of thrust being thrown from the nozzles.
Enough thrust to lift a London double decker buss from the 80s….
Equipping the vismid removes the side skirts which removes a lot of weight so the weight reduction was actually correct
exactly, ww2 style=punch it straight off the deck (harriers use their nozzles though so not straight I guess)
This is the way.
Yet gaijin thinks they can not gain speed while climbing straight vertical.
I will second @SPANISH_AVENGER here, this has no effect on the game currently for these nations.
I welcome any reduction in vehicle/rank unlock requirements, but is this an error?
Russia even needs the Premium ship to unlock Rank VII lmao
Honestly, the requirement rule of the thumb should be: all ships MINUS one.
So nations with 5 ships are required 4;
Nations with 4 are required 3;
Etc.
It is absurd that you need each and every single vehicle to unlock the next rank.
Makes it 9.0
:P
But damn, I miss being able to one shot Iowas with Vangaurd :D
Yak-38 also isn’t catobar capable IRL, but I don’t know if they get a catobar launch ingame on different carriers as the testflight spawns them on the Kiev class (which only exists because of the Yak-38 ingame, just like the Kuznetsov just being ingame because of the Su-33)
Where’s invincible???
Can’t have new carriers for the other nations because they technically aren’t needed, I guess
She is modeled I think, but nope. Not even in the test flight do the harriers get ramp launch
Yet we get catobar for some unknown reason.
Leads me to my next point the Harriers VTOL weight in game is so wrong. The static installed thrust is much higher than it should be.
In game, that makes sense, because its better to have the few that cant Catobar take off with Catobar, than limiting it to only aircraft that can ramp take off, but yeah, in test flight its really annoying. Especially as ramp carriers work for the soviets
