becuase it would give carrier based aircraft an unfair advantage
where IR ASM-2?
they dump fuel mainly to lower the risk of a fire not because of weight, though it does decrease weight
Ah, thought they did it because of the arrestor wires having a max strength and if they didnt it would break. Would also probably help with stall characteristic
nah they just dont want a massive fire on the carriers (COUGH COUGH FORRESTAL)
I have to correct myself a bit: Obviously it’s a tactical advantage to be able to dump fuel.
What I referred more to would be the “dump&burn” thing that is only an airshow gimmick… ;-)
Move one of the carriers of each team further back then, no reason to get rid of the mechanic entirely.
Catapult assist would still be an advatage, gets them up to speed faster
Oh yeah, that is basically just for killign teammates on the runway on taking off.
But thats what I mean. They have gone to far mroe effort modeling the none beneficial side of the fuel dumping than actually modeling and releasing the beneficial side of it. Just seems kinda insane to me
The purpose of the second dev server was all the fixes made to the current build and the vehicles that were not present on the first one. Many others were WIP.
There is plenty here to justify a second dev test.
That though wasnt caused by an aircraft landing. That was caused by an aircraft accidently firing a rocket
Several technical and gameplay reasons. Carrier takeoff was always problematic due to how the assisted launch work. If several people tried to do it at once, the catapult would only work for one at a time as one example.
Oh yeah, I know, but notice the damage the fire caused (was using as an example of a fire, should have clarified that)
At first glance there are a lot of changes in regards to the new SPAA systems.
The New BR for naval is also added so that the naval players have a chance to test that out as well :)
All 5 of them!!! Wow
Jokes this is a joke
Oh man, what an incredibly huge advantage, especially for planes like the Harriers, F/A-18s, A-6E, A-4s, A-7s, etc
You can select the targets on the list. If it is a old aa, you need to do the locking as always.
To fire you need to press the , as the button on the ui, not the lmb. Firing by LMB is disabled i the AA menu.
Yeah… unfortunately the ADATS is considered too good and so they havent added anything to my only ground nation of Britain.
So I have to wait 3-9 months for something better to try them out
Naval RB matches on the dev servers are 1v1s with 15 bots a side normally. So you’ll ahve to wait till live to actually try them out
yep… except the harriers, and F/A-18, they get up to speed rather quickly compared to the larger attackers
