I didnt say its unique (apart from countermeasures and engine leafs), i’d say its usable compare to something like merkava.
so i started to watch a video on the dev server changes and i hear that a 120 which is a copy from the plane one or vica versa on the slam ram is going to be slower than the regular aim 9l and m missiles but yet the speed on the airplane is acurate look i can accept a range hit from an aircraft weapon being launched for a stationary ground unit but speed no not by this much
I am one of the 5 naval players in WT and just noticed that my 8.0 HMS Vanguard (1946) will face F117 Nighthawk stealth bombers when uptiered to 8.7 (e.g. against USS Iowa). Guess it’s gonna be just 4 naval players in the future because there isn’t really a WW2-counter to laser guided GBUs dropping from the stratosphere.
Did they really think this through end-to-end? What’s the plan here cause i can’t see it …
The f117 was changed in its naval br so that that can’t happen iirc
I hope they change it. As of right now, it is BR 8.7 in Naval Arcade and Naval Realistic (version 2.46.0.34 which has been released today)

- The mechanics of fire spreading inside the barbettes has been updated. The fire in the barbette (elevator fire) can still start because of a shell exploding inside it or spread from the main caliber turret being on fire. Previously the fire in the barbette originated in the center of the elevator and grew in size spreading equally up and down eventually resulting in the whole elevator being on fire. Now the fire can originate from any point of the elevator. So if the fire spread from the turret to the elevator, it will spread from the very top of the elevator to the very bottom to it, giving the player more time to react, however, if the shell hit the bottom of the elevator, the fire will start there giving the player little to no time for to react. The “Ammo Wetting” modification still works: it reduces the chances of detonation when the magazine receives fire damage. The probability of detonation is checked constantly while the fire affects the module. This fire spreading mechanic works only for the big crewed elevators of main caliber turrets. Other elevators that lack rooms and personnel can not be set on fire and don’t conduct the fire through themselves.
- The indication of fires on the player’s ship has been added to the damage panel (in the bottom-left). The fire icon appears where the fire has started, just like in the hit camera.
- New camouflages that can be purchased with Golden Eagles for Coastal fleet vessels for all nations have been added.
- Striker, Scimitar, Fox — these have received their own characteristic engine sounds.
None of them will reach 4 km unless u are ultra fast and up relatively high or is firing down. Really in real situations R73 and PL5E has around 3km and AAM/PL8 has 4.
Still better than gatewidth by far. Should still be best IR missile in game.
i wouldn’t put too much stock on statcard values, going by the missile sheet python 5 has a dV of ~1200m/s

Where are the spall liners!? They were so perfectly reported so long ago. There’s zero reason why it could possibly be taking so long other than being intentional.

dV is used to describe how much energy the missile has and not its max speed
The max speed is what the stat card says
i agree I was just repeating the numbers the other guy was giving so he couldnt argue against them
launching a missile from a speed of 0 (ground launched) heavily reduces the max achievable speed and the range of a missile compared to launching the same missile from a moving platform (a plane going mach 1)

But all of them do. If you’re referring shooting at an enemy that’s flying away at ~650 knots, then you might be correct. But then you have to clarify. All of these missles generally easily reach 10km or more.
