All they had was tornado f.3 and wanted something to compete with mig29 and f16. they complained a lot. Especially vocally on the forums.
UK players wanting a competitive top tier jet =/= uk players “crying” or uk players specifically wanting a better gripen than sweden

On this the british were crying cause going up against gen 4 mig29s and F16s in phantoms an the tornado F3 was just not feesible.
I highly doubt it mate, were at a stage where america is now one of if not the best trees in game for the sheer amount of versatility it has at its disposal.
You say that as if britain got the only one, as well as this, the F15E was still absolutely a top contender, one of the few jets that can actually beat the EF2000.
As well as this, USA has dominated air for god knows how many years now, what coming up on 4 years?
The F15A sat at 12.3 while every other jet sat at 12.7 and it was better than most of them bar the gripen in a dogfight. ?
Ive got 6 nations at top tier, and at no stage did britain get the 39C variant cause they cried about it, they were demanding they get a British jet and most british mains I seen sided with the swedish mains on the fact it was ridiculous.
The fact they added the F/A 18C to the US tree right away while now the Swedish once again will have to grind through even more to access the same jet is ridiculous.

Isnt that what literally every one else did, then got rammed with F16s, mig29s and F14s?
F-16A - F-16A Netz = identical apart from the Python 3.
F-16A ADF - F-16A ADF (Italy) = exact same aircraft
F-15A - Baz - F-15J = almost exact same aircraft
F-15C - Baz M - F-15J(M) = almost identical. J(M) slightly better, Baz M now equal.
F-15E - F-15I = pretty much sidegrades. E has better CAS while I has more flares.

All of this use of the word “crying” will just make me ignore your comments going forward, goes for everybody here currently. Trying to pretend like valid complaints about the game are simple “crying” is diminishing and not fit for civil discussion.

the 15E seems to do better in ARB than the 15I for some odd reason.
so of all this why not add the a comparable F/A18C to sweden too? why wait to add another one if its functionally the same.

I agree, it wasn’t. Now could Sweden have gotten a Gripen C at the same time? Yes. We got the F/A-18A and the F/A-18C this update so Gaijin definitely could have done that.
America was always going to be the strongest nation for air. But that doesn’t stop the other nations from getting their good stuff too.
Yeah we got the F-15E, then you got your EF-2000 and we didn’t get anything. I don’t really see what’s the point here? We still didn’t get anything last update. At worst, it seems like things are balanced. We got the F-15E and British mains got nothing, then they got the EF-2000 and we got nothing, and this update we’re the ones getting something again.
And yes the US has dominated, but literally nothing could be added to Britain without being extremely OP in those years. Would you have want the EF-2000 to drop in Air Superiority?
I wasn’t refering to that. I’m saying that in War Thunder we usually get the first variant of a new aircraft, then a better one is added.

Exactly, but then they blame us for complaining for a better radar on the F-15A during the Air Superiority update, or for wanting the Aim-9M to counter the R-73, it’s nuts.

The f15a was insanely good, it still actually is insanely good mate.
The aim9m released as the best IR missile in the game, sure r73 could thrust vector but it was far more situational.
The f15A also subsequently sat at 12.3 while its entire competition sat at 12.7, dont act like the 15A was suffering

Anyone else having problems with the Radar of the F-15E producing a horrendous amount of ghost targets while having extreme difficulty to follow valid TWS contacts? It’s atrocious currently after the patch…
