When it comes to Air, I agree: we’ve got like five billion Top Tier jets in the last couple of years, while barely any WW2 planes have come (not like there’s a lot of options left, while Top Tier air kinda had to catch up, though- however I feel like they have overdone it a bit when it comes to C*S, since they’ve added lots of highly capable such planes without effective SAM counterparts, which is one of my main gripes).
So it saddens me that people have this false notion about Ground because of Air.

I did play a few games of mid tier and WW2 tier yesterday to see if the comparison of top tier being only CAS spam held any weight.
Yeah just about every WW2 game devolved into 2/3s of both teams spawning in a plane and bombing the ground targets.

CAS spam is pretty normal, but being completely unable to touch CAS with SPAA is something that is unique to 10.3+

Yeah. In lower tiers, I find CAS annoying, but, since it takes some skill and is actually counterable, I have no real issue with it.
A Stuka skillfully nose-diving on me and doing a bullseye by landing a bomb on top of me is fine, specially when SPAAs can engage it and destroy it.
However, it is a completely different story for Top Tier.
A SU-34/Rafale killing half of an entire Ground team in 10 seconds by point-and-clicking safely without any SAM capable of even engaging it IS objectively a balance and gameplay problem.
