Yeah hopefully we get to see a USMC F/A-18C with the AN/APG-79 at some point. That would be an extremely cool variant to see imo

No, we should not normalise jumping to the most modern variants of jets to keep up with powercreep, the legacy hornets deserve their time in the sun without being made obsolete by a superior version added in the same tree, in the same patch.
Super hornets can come later when there is more hype for them and people and had their fun with the C model

Honestly there’s a chance if the F/A-18A+ is a premium that it comes without AMRAAMs.
It could be 13.0 with only 9Ms and 7M/Ps and it would be able to take more missiles than the standard F/A-18A.
It could take up to 6x 7M/Ps and 2x 9Ms, or it can trade out 1x of the wing-mounted 7M/Ps for 2x 9Ms, so it could also do a loadout of say 6x 9Ms and 4x 7M/Ps.
I feel like that would definitely be an interesting edition of the Hornet and wouldn’t make for a bad premium.

I would have preferred it if we got the F/A-18C in the TT, I definitely wasn’t expecting the Super Hornet to come to the game yet.
That doesn’t mean I can’t be excited for the Super Hornet. I expect it to be fun to play.
I’m certainly not trying to “normalize” adding super advanced vehicles and adding earlier ones as premiums. That’s a little uncharitable.

my mistake
i really thought super hornet would be the summer vehicle along with an F-15 or F-16 upgrade but this was a surpise. i like the jet, navy workhorse and all, but just caught off gaurd.
i dont see why that makes it so bad though, with the amount of vehicles US has to add around this era, im kinda glad they are doing a lot of them in one go so they dont take years and years to be added
Yeah, I figured we’d get the Legacy this update and the Super in June, it’s a total shock to be getting both at the same time, but I’m kinda for it
I mean, that would be cool and all, but there definitely should be a researchable F/A-18A in the TT
