Major Update "Hornet Sting" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

And peace :P

All of the “trusted” leakers have their own share of false/unfulfilled leaks

The point was only made because someone doesn’t trust Gaijins official communication on this topic

I mean, having played customs in boats against aircraft with similar (not the same, but same concept) munitions… That gameplay is just boring and annoying, fighting things you literally cannot take down that dictate terms of engagement entirely.

theres always Phalanx CIWS and RIM-116 to deal with the munitions themselves

and if you and your team allowed enemy aircraft to get through friendly air cover from tomcats, hornets, and super hornets, as well as any number of SAM equipped cruisers and destroyers, that is pure skill issue

im not saying you are bad but should naval ever get to that point, if you and team really let enemy jets slip through, thats kind of on you

i am so looking forward to skyrangers and the addition fo rewards for intercepting armaments

Or squadron maybe.
Anyway I hope it comes with autoloader rework and the possibility to carry additional apfsds in reserve ammo rack next to driver for both destroyers of worlds.

so many ways to take down enemy aircraft and munitions in naval it would be embarrasing to allow a russian bomber to touch a carrier

I wish the anti-air rocket launchers on HMS Hood were useable ingame.
Basically anti-aircraft mine launchers lol

Probably not as good as the Mark 41 VLS, but effective none the less.

and say what you want about efficacy, but the Russian navy is just cooler than the US.

Udaloy with cruise missile tubes open

This thing has anti ship/sub cruise missiles and the Tor VLS

Slava Class

this thing has 16 P-1000 anti-ship missiles, and an S-300 air defense system

Kirov Class

This thing was so big they had to bring back the battlecruiser classification
It has P-700s, Tor, and S 300s and was designed to be capable of single handedly taking out a small fleet of ships

I could go on, but I’d be here all day. Those are just my favorites including the Kuznetsov like I mentioned earlier.

Whereas the US navy, while effective, relies on pretty standard carriers with basic air defenses, and screening ships that have a standard set of the same SAMs and a few harpoons just in case. It makes logistics easier, and they fulfil their role well, but it’s just not half as interesting

The Russian/Soviet navy is a lot cooler just because of this:

We're making one of those too

Also, yours would have been cooler if it wasn’t mounted to the USS Preble

There isn’t enough air in naval battles and if you do want to bring it out it’s so expensive. IMHO you should (depending on the plane i’m going to use the SB2C helldiver) get a squad of 5-10 aircraft with you as leader. Now you actually have a chance against the aim bot AA on ships. They should maybe also add a fly in naval mode where you and others can spawn in planes while others are on the sea. (prob big map and teams for this idea)

It’s just super unrealistic to have 1 aircraft against a entire cruiser let alone 3 of them sometime.

What nation is that, also yeah should’ve been put on something else lol.

It’s rumored that the F-35 can use laser now too.

Thats the British DragonFire, planned for introduction in 2027, actually moved up from the original 2032 which is a first

The US navy got cooler with the introduction of the Mark 41 VLS, but before that it’s the USSR all the way, the only thing they were lacking was a proper carrier, but the ways they tried to compensate for that were great, mad, but great

idk, Iowa class and CVN’s carried

not to mention the USS Nautilus

US naval aviation just beats everything else
