They should have integrated F-20 with AIM-120. Had it entered service anywhere it would most likely have received those.
Similar to the Milan and YAK-141 implementations and the usual leeway Gaijin reserves for loadouts.
That would have made it a more interesting implementation.
I think the radar itself cant guide aim120.
It also would have meant a higher BR. Which is why, we explained at the time, we decided not to give the F-20 AMRAAM. As it would have struggled far more at higher BRs.
We never denied it was capable. Simply it was a balance matter.
f20 with aim120s would be balanced yes? 13.0 with like 4 amraams? seems fine to me

It could technically go into 3 trees, Britain because of the sub tree, Israel because they participated to the program and France, in the end its a mirage.
There are multiple countries using it and Gaijin does not mind copy pasting stuff …
That is all well and good but I keep thinking F-20 would be a more interesting AMRAAM carrier than some other jets that even in real life got them. Such as Phantom or the Derby carrying F-5.
F-20 would be somewhat comparable to the ARH carrying Kfir and JF-17.
It was and is of course Gaijin’s purview especially since the project was cancelled in the end but personally I think a place beside JF-17 and Kfir C.10 would have been ideal.

I think that is just because it was almost a carbon copy of the FGR2 with better flight performance which also wasnt terrible (AIM9Gs with only AIM-7E or Skyflash at 12.0 hurts tho)
at the end of the day SA is a subtree of the UK so it will almost certainly go to the UK, things like the bismark (the SA Rooikat prototype not the ship) would have gone to the UK if SA was released when the event happened
