I am very happy about most Abrams-related news; the new shell, the reworked armor, the number of additions, the really cool camouflage nets… however, it is disappointing to see them still believe the hull armor was not improved in the late 2010s since the very first iteration from 1979 despite being confirmed by official documents.

If it doesn’t get the improved hull armor I would argue that the SEPv3 will be worse than the SEPv1 again.
The turret armor improvement is nothingburger and M829A3 would have to be very good to compensate for the worse mobility.
