Could a bug report manager perhaps have a look at this bug report regarding the GBU - 53 explosive fill? This also applies to the SDB I and it would be good if this was looked at before the DEV, as it’s a simple fix.

its barely different to putting something like the mig25 or sturmtiger behind an event, plus the f14D we’re getting is barely even the one people were hoping/coping for, everyone wanted one with amraams or aim9m and aim7p, this isnt that, and as it is it is basically a very minor upgrade to the f14b

Its entirely possible it comes in a later update probably, but its gonna be pretty unlikely since F-14A+ doesn’t really fit in TT and we already had an F-14 event + premium now, and a TT F-14D would be probably too similar to the F-14B (considering loadouts)

the least they could do is give it the up engine’d phoenix if it wont get amraams. would at least make it an actual upgrade
A squadron vic America needs a good squadron vic for air
its not
MiG-25 and Sturmtiger would not fit as normal vehicles due to their large deficiencies in certain areas
F-14 has no major defficiency, and would work as a normal vehicle very well
neither is explicitly an upgrade to the other they just work different ways, all the f14s should be able to pick between the two really
a nice idea, but i think personally anymore F-14 additions are pretty unlikely. F-14A / B / D already covers a lot of ground that the others won’t really fulfil
it would fit warthunder a lot better for the same reason the fakour does over the base aim 54
Would you be able to pass the consideration as feedback for a future techtree “F-14D (late)”?
This way the premium could stay as is, but in the future it won’t be the most capable F-14 locked outside of the techtree.

I mean so did the Mig-29s then they added one as a squadron vic their’s also the JAS-39D they didn’t need to add as a squadron vic which they did
The F-14D we’re getting is just another B, it doesn’t count. We can still get an actual F-14D with good missiles
We could have had either:
- An upgraded F-14A
- F-14B(U)
- F-14D(R)
as a premium F-14 with the F-14D with AIM-9M, AIM-7P, and better AIM-54C in the TT.
The issue of it being “too similar to the F-14B” is completely Gaijin’s own fault.
(I know you’re a suggestion mod and not a dev or CM but still it’s got to be said).

his point was people had been wanting it for ages, plus its not like those two are the only examples, tog2 wouldve been fine in tech tree, bmd-4 was stuck as an event vehicle for years before it got a TT variant. etc
difference is, Sweden didn’t really have a lot of options (same reason for JA37DI i assume), MiG-29M was a decent upgrade to the tt MiG-29s and the only (?) 13.7 MiG-29 w/ 8 A2A Hardpoints. The F-14A+ would have AMRAAMs and maybe 9Ms, another F-14D (Late) would just be AIM-54C+ and 9Ms maybe.
I just don’t think it’d be a good option considering the potential of American Air Squadron vehicles anyways

that’s the thing we should have the 14A at least get 9ls the B and D should get 9m that way they are usable at top tier
