Considering that there is a good chance of it having the IRST as a sensor it’s a straight improvement over the -14B(U) since its TCS is currently nonfunctional.

Except the F-14D should be a big upgrade from the B, AIM-9M (which the B should have anyway), better radar, new cockpit, overall is a better plane.
Locking the best variant behind a paywall is genuinely awful decision every single time you do it no matter the nation.

Yeah but mech TWS in wt sucks, on most radars at least, is this worth 70€ over the tech tree variant?
it should be about equal to the F14B. Maybe due to the better radar and IRIST it could go to 13.3 but I don’t think so

They did, though IRL (and also in-game) the F-4S has some pretty major improvements over the F-4J. This is more of a punch to the gut rather than even that was, though.
Is the AAS-42 IRST at least planned to be implemented as a sensor?
And is there any hope of the TCS on the F-14B, or the prospective addition of the ALR-23 for the F-14A& IRAF being similarly implemented?
