Major Update "Firebirds" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

A Saudi Tornado would’ve been a way better rank 8 premium than the Bison. Aside from earlier mentioned SA stuff. (South Africa)
Nothing against the Bison. Nothing against India. They just don’t belong there. India deserves its own tree. Kinda like Israel. Potentially joined with other nations.

I honestly don’t know who wants to fly a MiG-21 to unlock the UK tech tree? Like who is the Bison marketed towards?

Should be something Brits, or Brit enthusiasts, would like right?

Again, the Bison is really really cool. It just doesn’t fit there. Hopefully another rank 8 comes soon.

It is identical to the finnish one but the german one should have better hull armour.

@Smin1080p_WT sorry for the ping, but I was hoping to know if, at least for this next major update, this terribly game-breaking bug regarding the entirety of a nation’s Top Tier vehicles will finally be fixed:

TKX & Type 10 Steering Bug.

It was reported and “accepted” TWO years ago, yet nothing has ever been done to fix it ever since!

Type 10’s steering, and by extension TKX and TKX (P)'s too, has been broken like this since the very release of the vehicle. I can’t wrap my head around the developers still not having fixed this after two years…

So could we get an update on this, please? Maybe even a fix announcement?

Even a 295 kg/650 lb HE is going to hurt, but against a Heavy its going to take multiple hits. Even with a 3x Missile load out it’s going to take multiple reloads to ensure kills which basically makes the plane an arcade threat far more than realistic. Effectiveness ramps up vs DDs etc but at its BR these become increasingly rare and many have larger calibre HE-VT.

Eh, they don’t have much tbf.
They’re mostly an arms importer.
I honestly have no idea why they’re not implemented like Canada or something (with the exporters getting what they exported, for example T-90 and Mig-21 in RU tree, Tesco Vickers Value stuff in the British tree etc etc) and event verchicles in the relevent places (Hal tajas to france, Arjun in Germany etc)

Laziest event vehicle i have ever seen plain copy past of the A5 whith just a different name

Hey.

At the moment we don’t have an ETA for this. We will ask the Devs if its possible for anything to be done in the close term future regarding the issue.

Yeah I could see it like that. (except Hal Tejas to France, not sure why)
Wish they’d just have one international tree filled up with countries like India. Or per continent to keep it separated but neutral.

I might be miss remembering but I swear the Tajas development was heavy assisted by dassault and influenced by the Mirage 2K

so anyother news day?

Thank you for the quick response as always, and for your commitment! I will be looking forward for further news from you. o7

I brought this up suddenly because, after a long break from playing Japan, I played a couple of matches with it and quickly remembered why I stopped, hahah. This steering bug completely ruins the tanks affected by it.

I hope the issue will be solved in the close term future, specially since it’s been overdue for over 2 years now!

It will take the same amount of time like the BTs steering issue has taken to fix.
who remembers their weird turning where it extended the turn input for 1-2sec? XD
it was so strange when the BT5/7s then turned smoothly after it got fixed.

I see, I don’t know much about it. If thats true then it would work I guess.

Is it similar to the CR2 mobility issues that was one of the few things that they actually fixed?

Yeah, I just double checked, Dassault was the primary consultant to the project. Much like KM for the Arjun.

Kinda!

Basically, as of now, you can’t turn Type 10; as soon as you press A/D, the thing comes to full stop to pull a 180º turn, instead of just steering normally like everyone else.

I have no idea how it hasn’t been fixed after years of being “acknowledged”.

Yep, sounds very similar. So its not even like its an issue they cant fix

I hope you can see the answer through the CM’s secret document.

It’s because of how Gaijin models turning. Tanks turn via braking their left or right tracks in game currently and because they increased the brake force on the Type 10 by a metric ton, it turns a crap lot at the cost of speed losses. Neutral steering is a different issue.

its 13 UTC, any new devblogs gaijin?
