As someone said f15e is a kind of plane that depending on the version that gets added it is either too weak, just right or too strong, initial SEs used sparrows, no hmd while most modern ones have hmd, aim9x, aim 120d
F-15E would also work for an iconic “non-MBT” end-of-line Vehicle for the US

They could do an early and late model. Early using the 220 engines, no HMD, sparrows + AMRAAM As, and 9Ms. And a late using the 229 engines, HMD, later AMRAAMs, and 9Xs.
Also a mid variant with the same kit f15c has, so aim120a, aim9m
Honestly the best course of action might just be to change it behind the scenes and pretend the leak was never real.
As much as I’d like an official statement about changing plans, from a Gaijin perspective they can avoid the drama fully if they act like there was no reason for it to begin with.

The easiest would probably be with exactly the same kit as the F-15C just more A2G hard points and a targeting pod.
Agreed I would rather for them to throw a dev under a bus then to annoy the entirety if it’s playerbase.
I mean the reaction just from the leak set everyone off Imagine what a blog would do.
