You act as though I like the trialed shit Japan and Sweden have. Japan I can at least see the rationale at the time, but Sweden didn’t need any of the equipment it trialed. I’d also expect, and hope, the trialed stuff in the Japanese tree gets removed once they get their subtree as Thailand is fully able to plug those holes.
And it’s not a ton either, last I recall the only trialed vehicle in the Japanese tree is their F-16, and Sweden has two with the T-80 and their squad Heli, both of which they have no need for and should never have gotten.
What Helicopter could have been placed in the Mi-28As place then?
Nothing, if it’s a squadron vehicle they don’t need it in the first place, and helicopters aren’t good enough to be needed. In my experience, a fixed wing of the same BR can do everything it can do but better, so I don’t feel helicopters are so important that you need to go ahistorical with trialed vehicles.

I don’t think there are any Heli premiums that aren’t either minor mods of a TT heli or TT Heli in service with another nation, so it wouldn’t be any different then the other nations.
Outside of an event Heli in the US, but it’s an early heli so it’s kinda shit.

Ok then, just use a fixed wing aircraft instead. In my experience helicopters are a vastly inferior option to a comparable fixed wing. They aren’t useful enough where you need to grasp at straws if a nation doesn’t have anything to fill the tree out.
That fixes nothing lmao, this is literally the EXACT reason they had to resort to tested aircraft, you have to remember our best CAS before the Gripen WAS Helis
Sweden has the AHS, Mi-28, T 80, and Tiger 2
Japan has the F-16, M47 and M36

It removes unnecessary copy paste for one, Sweden has a perfectly good strike aircraft at 11.0, they don’t need the Apache, and if you absolutely need something better for CAS before the Grippen, I’d give them Norwegian F-16s in the TT for CAS.
