Nope it has an internal high-contrast TV imager and targeting/lasing system. It also launches TV guided missiles and has weapons based imaging from that.
The IDF AH64A/D still missing the Spike and the unique IDF avionics
Spike NLOS boasts a guidance system with two modes of operation. One of these allows it to simply strike fixed targets at designated coordinates. The other ‘man-in-the-loop’ type, in which an operator can make fine adjustments during the terminal phase of the missile’s flight, using a video feed transmitted from an infrared camera in the weapon’s nose. A cylindrical line-of-sight datalink pod that can be attached to the Apache’s stub wings (seen below) is used for this two-way control of Spike.
That’s an insult to kettles. How dare you include it with those inferior pieces of scrap metal.
I believe some day WT will be ready to add them.
It’s not that the JMSDF is naming their ships after former IJN warships, but rather the naming scheme they use was also used by the IJN but to different classes:
IJN naming scheme:
- Battleships— provinces/names for Japan
- Battlecruisers & heavy cruisers— mountains
- Light cruisers— rivers
- Destroyers— meteorological/astronomical phenomenon
- Carriers— animals/mythological beasts
JMSDF naming scheme:
- Helicopter destroyers and Helicopter carriers (DDH)—traditional provinces for Japan/mountains
- Guided missile destroyers (DDG)—mountains/weather terms
- Small destroyers (DD)—weather terms
- Frigates (DE)(FFM)—rivers
- Submarines (SS)—ocean currents/legendary auspicious animals
- Patrol Boats (PG)—birds of prey
That as well naming after regions cities landmarks and such, still funny though and will be to see modern Japanese ship dovblegs when people get confused and think the names wrong :p
That was a joke.
and this :P

So no Thermal vision? Only high contrast?
only this thing, but you can use the missile’s IR seeker instead

Bought and crewed everything from the sale, 41 million down. 5 million left, lucky I’m not expecting to need much for Christmas.
Boy, its a perfect day for a teaser today
I just tested the Su-25SM3, and the KH-38MT’s thermal camera zoom is just as good as the targeting pod on the Su-25SM3. It can also be used to guide Kh-25ML, S-25LD, and KH-38ML missiles within the KH-38MT camera view.
I know it’s still way too early ,but.

I think 2-3 hours left

Look at how massive the Su-34 is compared to the VVS personnel. god dayum

This one is also a chunker, maybe slightly lower, closer to the ground
Can it make a cobra?
Did not find anything about it being able to do the Cobra, but it’s still pretty manoeuvrable loaded
god its beautiful
