The R-74M from what I know is similar to the AIM-9X bl 2 anyway, so it wouldn’t be problem for the game.
Isn’t R-74M2 like R-73 but upgraded?
I cant wait for the US/USSR tears when they realise they have universally weaker gen 5 IR missile to everyone else :D

To put it extremely simply.
They’ll be sitting there watching IRIS-Ts, P5s, AAM-5s, and PL-10s doing 360 degree turns.

well kinda the R74M is a large upgrade of the R73M which is an upgrade of the R73, the M2 is just slimed down so it fits inside the Su57

To be fair US will still probably have the easiest fighters to play. F-22 is the most conventional stealth fighter, J-20 is more situational since it lacks internal gun, Su-57 won’t compare in terms of stealth, F-35 is not very fast.
What America lacks in IR missiles, it makes up for with flight performance, and even without an IRIS-T or Meteor (until AIM-260) counterpart, AIM-120Ds and AIM-9X bl 2’s will be perfectly fine.
I would imagine when 5th gens are eventually added, Gaijin will increase map size and actual dogfights will be rare unless the match is almost ending and only few players are alive.
Even now, the only maps that you can see at 12.3 and above should be EC ones. Even those would be too small for ramjet missiles, though, so much bigger ones need to be added before them.
Currently, when you climb to around 10k meters (around ideal altitude for Fox 3 launch), enemies are only around 50ish kilometers away. So yeah, I think the maps can be bigger even now.

You do know that Aim-9X is worse than ASRAAM, IRIS-T, MICA IR and Python 5 right?
ASRAAM and MICA IR Can do everything the Aim-9X can with more pull and double to triple the range
IRIS-T is the best dogfighting missile by far
Python-5 does everything the Aim-9X can but better.
Just because “MERICA” doesnt mean its the best

I know this question usually starts an argument, but when do you guys think Japan will get a subtree that can hopefully add some better CAS options than the AJ and F-5E?
If they even get one at this point since it seems very controversial amongst everyone.

We’ll likely get ASEAN within the next few updates as it seems like its seen some work, SK doesnt seem likely because “political reasons” which is stupid imo but most know my stance on that

I wish they would make medals a bit easier to get in a future update. I know they don’t really give you any good rewards but I like seeing them displayed in my profile

Which is exactly why i started grinding Britain after the US XD. Can’t complain about other fighters if i have all the best fighters lol.
