BuNo 5341 and 5760 on the Milwaukee were the only Kingfishers in Soviet service

VOUGHT-SIKORSKY OS2U-3 KINGFISHER
Two Vought-Sikorsky OS2U-3 Kingfishers were delivered to USSR on board USS Milwaukee, which was transferred to the Soviet fleet on 24 August 1944as compensation in connection with the division of the Italian Navy among the Allied powers. The American cruiser was given the name MURMANSK, and was returned ( including the two Kingfishers) to the USA after the war, in 1947.
I.A.Platonov (118 ORAP VVS SF) made a number of training flights with Kingfishers, but no operational missions are known.The Kingfishers were coded “1” and “2”.
On page 224 is a coloured profile of Kingfisher “2”, wearing red stars and the number 2 on the rudder. Colours of the aircraft seems to show two shades of light grey, dark (upper) light Underside of fuselage.
Other photos of the ship and Kingfishers can be seen on pages 156, showing US Star and bar and 157 aircraft “1” wearing the Soviet red star outlined white.
Of course you’ll find images of them in American markings immediately after they transferred the ship over when they have better things to do that repaint a float plane.
The devs seriously cannot believe Murmansk spent 5 years sailing with US floatplanes covered in US markings when they had very frosty relations with the US.
WTF this is ridiculous.
Why even bother grinding specific nations? Just grind one and get access to everything…
With the addition of ASEAN countries to CHI, the arcadification of WT is henceforth complete.
@Smin1080p_WT seriously just why?
Nobody wants ASEAN stuff in china.
It should be added to japan, the japanese tree needs it way more and it would still make more sense
