let me explain to you really quickly why that’s useless.
- Against better radars the early gen stealth of the F117 is borderline nonexistent
- This plane has no flares, nor a means to defend itself so it literally will die if any IR missile is fired at it (reminder it’s a BLACK triangle)
As for the comparison to the bucc.
Both have the same floor when it comes to potential (both can just die without doing anything) but ceiling wise the Buccaneer is LEAGUES better because it can actually take out bases and objectives. The Nighthawk cannot.
As for GRB, this plane isn’t going to be useless, but it’s also nothing crazy depending on its BR.
And it is a genuine rarity for a game to be won by taking out bases when the winning team hasn’t already been winning. The S1 literally has no method of defending itself outside of getting lucky when dropping bombs against pursuing aircraft. Is it better then the F-117? Sure, but not by all that much as bombing in the current state of the game is ineffective at the base.
And I suppose the Buc S1 has enough bombs for defensive bombing + a base kill. More than the f-117

We have no idea how useful or useless the F-117’s stealth will be because we don’t know how Gaijin will model it.
Due to the secretive nature of aircraft stealth, it’s likely that Gaijin will be fudging a lot of the statistics because representing them accurately would be… let’s say, impossible to do legally.
It might sound crazy, but I think it’s probable that Gaijin will borrow a page from the Ace Combat games when it comes to stealth. In those games, stealth aircraft are detected by radars at shorter distances and take longer to lock with IR.
For example, each generation of stealth aircraft or LO features could offer a progressively larger buff in this category.
Even though WT is a game with the objective of realism, I think they should take this method, or a variation on it, for no reason other than to preempt players leaking classified government docs on stealth

No, but there is no precedent for it. The only nation that it makes sense to operate it is the US, and they already have their own tech tree.

Agreed… teaser dropping on Thursday, Dev Server during weekend, etc… would mean there would either be just a few days of Dev Serveer before the release, or that the update would release a week well into November.
I really hope we get it tomorrow xD.
