Canada+ANZAC tree? Yes, please. Those three nations will go a long way as a TT. I just don’t agree with calling it a “commonwealth tree” far too many nations that could make it up.

Again, I don’t give Gaijin’s word much credit, only their actions.
Even if Italy was never declared a subtree, that is what it was in practice, and Gaijin removed it when they wanted to add Italy. I see no reason to assume India cannot become it’s own tree down the road, especially when it’s being relegated to premiums and event vehicles.

I severely doubt that Germany would be relegated to an Italian subtree in a game focused primarily on the Eastern front, at least from what I understand. And let us suppose that IS true, which I severely doubt. That means that Germany was spun off from Italy into it’s own tree, it still gives precedent of Gaijin turning subtrees into nations.
italy wasn’t a sub tree though… they just had italian vehicles that germany technically “used” in the german tech tree for a while before removing them when italy was deemed suitable for its own tech tree.

Tbh considering how Mirage 2000-5F gets HMD despite never fielding it in service I can see a possibility to introduce such system to late AMRAAM Viggens.
I mean the F-4 Phantoms are in the same boat but yeah.

They have Italian camos, and were added before Gaijin distinguished what nation a vehicle operates under. If, hypothetically, they were added today, Gaijin would have listed the operating nation as Italy.

They can give regular JA 37 or J 35Ö as Swedish rank VII premiums.

I can’t blame anyone for this confusion. Gaijin has never really defined what a sub tree is or isn’t ever since they were “introduced” with Ixwa Strike in 2021.
Before that point it was basically assumed that any nations not represented with an independent tech tree could have their vehicles placed wherever Gaijin found it appropriate.
But now with the introduction of sub trees, there’s a discussion about patterns, consistency, and what should go where.
I think the media team has one definition. Anything that gets a showcase spot in an update teaser is a subtree: South Africa, Finland, Hungary, Benelux. And this definition makes sense as each of these examples forms a line within an independent nation’s tech tree. But obviously there are other definitions out there. Smin has repeatedly described India as a sub tree (or “sub nation”), despite it not getting a teaser showcase and all Indian vehicles being outside of the tech tree.
What seems clear is that Gaijin has historically not planned very far ahead when it comes to implementing sub trees and independent nations. They have many times added vehicles from one nation to another, only to later pull them out and make a subtree or independent nation. Maybe that is changing with the plans we have seen leaked.

Draken as rank 7 premium? Austrian version wouldnt even bring anything over what XS could do already and its yet ANOTHER Draken outside the reseach tree.
Thing is, none of the ingame descriptions I’ve read thus far mention being under “German control”. Regardless, even if the Italian airforce was under German control, it is still the Italian airforce.
J35J and J35Ö is rank 6 at best man. i love me Drakens. but they werent that good. J35Ö got a secondary role as a strike fighter. and J35J dosnt thave any countermeasures.
also just rb24’s as missiles, unless gaijin decides to add rb28. wich Sweden modified to an actually good state. but gaijin just refuses to add them. idk really why.
