F4F-ICE’s problem is not having a targeting pod, tho with a pod it might face a br change…

buddy the only two things that matter here is if you can go fast (tornado can) and high(tornado can)
a reasonable person is capable of deducing if a vehicle is capable without playing it ;)
also we did look at the F14, F15 and the F16 but both the 15 and 16 were ruled out and the Tomcat was apparently too expensive but we did look into it multiple times and I think there were variants proposed just cant remember

might mean for CAS which in that case the gripen is a pretty bad CAS jet, only real benefit over things like the F16C and the Mig29SMT is it carries a pod

yeah they are this, and not only are they irrelevant, as i dont play it, but also there gets to a point where one can judge if a vehicle is good at its job simply by analyzing it.

Budget cuts and also reading around the RAF apparently didnt want to go for it due to how heavily classified the project was or something? I assume they didnt like the huge levels of red tape around development, production and fielding them.
